Responsibilities:

As a Complex Claims Advisor, you will play a crucial role in managing and resolving complex claims, serving as a referral point for enquiries from Recoveries and Settlements staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Mitigate, monitor and control Litigation, Credit Hire and Recovery Agent costs.
• Performing underwriting checks and reviewing lodgement version of events and damage points to ensure alignment with the incident description.
• Obtaining relevant information on claims, preparing defense, counter offers, or initiating litigation for files in litigation status.
• Making recommendations on the percentage of liability for the insurer and relevant third parties, proceeding to defense where liability qualifies.
• Negotiating and making agreements between Youi and other parties on settled outcomes.
• Handling all client, third party, and other complaints with competence, efficiency, and professionalism.
• Ensuring all client interactions and dealings have a quality, service, and compliance focus.
• Living and embodying Youi values in all aspects of your work.

To succeed in this role, you should bring: 

• Recoveries or Settlements experience in general insurance (advantageous, but not essential)
• Experience in first-party or third-party claims handling with a thorough working knowledge of liability matters in relation to motor vehicle collisions.
