We’re on the lookout for a State Manager – Home Assessing to join us at our head office in Sippy Downs. This is a leadership role with real impact – where your ability to develop others, lead with heart, and balance customer care with commercial smarts will make a difference every day.

In this role, you’ll lead our home assessing operations across Queensland, ensuring every assessment is accurate, fair and timely. You’ll guide and inspire a high-performing team, build strong partnerships with our builder and trade networks, and drive improvements in quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You’ll also play a key role in our catastrophe (CAT) response, helping us deliver when our customers need us most.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and develop a team of assessing leaders and assessors, fostering a culture of trust, support and accountability
  • Oversee both field and desktop assessments, ensuring compliance, quality repair standards, and great customer outcomes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with builder and trade networks to consistently deliver high-quality repairs
  • Monitor performance across cost, quality, and customer satisfaction, driving continuous improvement
  • Contribute to broader Youi objectives including safety, quality, and financial sustainability

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years’ experience in construction, assessing, or a related industry
  • Proven operational leadership experience and a track record of developing high-performing teams
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, repair standards, and relevant legislation
  • Commercially minded with the ability to balance business goals and customer care
  • A down-to-earth communicator who thrives on building relationships and getting results
